"The Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony is a treasured practice that involves the community. Our wonderful friends & team members Frey and Danait showed us a peek of this tradition on Friday, and it was magical.

The entire ceremony typically lasts hours - it’s not a hurried time, as Frey explained. Friends and neighbors gather, taking turns hosting the ceremony in their homes. It’s a cherished time of conversation, weaving, snacking, and drinking good coffee.

The youngest member receives the honor of roasting and brewing the coffee (Danait, you did it so wonderfully). In one picture, you can see Frey cooking popcorn, which was offered as a snack to go along with your drink!
